Just like a sip of tafia, the mysterious drink of the West Indies pirates (made of cannon powder and sugar cane sirup), David Javet oscillates between explosions of creativity and a recurrent want for sweetness in life. At Tchagata Games, David is the pleasure to write and to stage; to conceptualize and to structure. After a long and winding academic road involving American and French literature, Japanese language and history and finally international relations, David is now writing a PhD thesis on the representations of technology in Japanese film and video games. His many stays in Japan have made him think that he was able to write some of Tchagata Games’ projects in Japanese, especially if it leads to him dubbing his lines with a swiss-style Toshiro Mifune voice. David is resourceful as an otter and faithful as a penguin…and that’s quite enough.
